Gate stepped in to lend a hand to the benefit for Melvin Sparks. Although touted as a Bluesman the very cool thing about Gate is he can hang with anyone. At the Standard though, Gate chose to show those boys that 'less is more'. No need for a million notes, Gatemouth Brown just forged ahead ripping sounds from his guitar like nobody's business. And when he was done showing them how that works, he showed 'em what a little fiddle can do! Thanks Gate, I think it was a lesson well learned!
